We are seeking a qualified and passionate Math Tutor to work with students in grades 8–12, providing support across a range of math courses from Pre-Algebra to AP-level mathematics. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about helping students succeed and has a strong foundation in secondary math education.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about helping students succeed and has a strong foundation in secondary math education.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide individual or small group instruction in math subjects, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP-level courses
- Tailor instruction to meet students’ learning styles and academic needs
- Track and communicate student progress with teacher and Academic Coordinator
- Deliver instructions according to appropriate grade level placement and IEP expectations
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Maintains confidentiality of company and patient information
- Active Tennessee Teaching License in Mathematics (Grades 7–12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Education, or related field
- Strong communication skills and a passion for student growth
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred
- Must be able to speak and articulate clearly in English
- Ability to motivate students in the learning process while managing behaviors in ways that contribute to the development of self-esteem in conjunction with Twelve Step philosophy
- 8 hours per week, scheduled over one or two days
- Flexible hours based on tutor and student availability
- Position is in an office setting that involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions.
- Must be able to see, hear and move quickly enough to provide for the safety and instructional needs of the patients
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, and reach for extended periods
- Position may have direct contact with volatile persons who require additional safety precautions.
