Responsibilities
Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents, located in New Kent, Virginia, provides comprehensive medical, behavioral, rehabilitative, and educational services for children and adolescents ages 2 through 22 who are challenged by co-occurring medical and behavioral diagnoses. Cumberland Hospital is one of the few specialty children’s hospitals providing dual treatment protocols for both medical and mental health issues. Cumberland includes a 62 bed Hospital Program, a 16 bed Inpatient Acute Program, and 30 bed Residential Treatment Program. Our goal is to stabilize medical problems and help children develop positive behavioral coping strategies using an interdisciplinary approach.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Community Liaison for our DC/Baltimore I95 Corridor. The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is directly responsible for creating demand for Cumberland Hospital’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods. The Community Liaison provides community education on the mission and goals of Cumberland Hospital by utilizing professional account management skills.
In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community.
The Community Liaison is responsible for the implementing Cumberland Hospital’s strategic sales plan, enhancing Cumberland Hospital’s brand/image, effectively managing their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Community Liaison must be able to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience and dedication in a fast-paced environment.
Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Valid Driver's License
- 1-3 years of related working experience.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Market Area, behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric, medical and age-specific programming
- Demonstrat business development concepts, sales abilities
- Knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles
- Excellent Communication Skills-Written, Oral and Public Speaking
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required
