Part Time Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist Wanted as Medical Director
Heartland Behavioral Health Services is seeking a qualified medical professional to serve as Medical Director for their part-time child/adolescent psychiatry team.
The organization offers residential treatment, outpatient services, and acute hospitalization programs for youth aged 4-21 in a safe and supportive environment.
Job Description:
- Serve as Medical Director for the part-time child/adolescent psychiatry team
- Telepsychiatry position with quarterly travel to facility (paid by facility)
- Focus on adolescent patient load (ages 12-17)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend quarterly meetings at the facility and collaborate with medical staff in person
- Cover PTO and leave of other providers
- Oversight of medical staff and medical staff bylaws
- Collaborative practice with PMHNPs
- Lead medical staff meetings monthly (virtually)
- Provide e-scripts in collaboration with PMHNPs
- Co-sign psychiatric evaluations, discharge summaries, and admission orders for PMHNPs
- Medical rounding and evaluation of patients via tele-health if covering PTO/leave of another provider

Requirements:
