Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and visitors. Your role will involve providing a visible deterrent to potential threats, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor, and handling incidents promptly and effectively.
Duties:
- Patrol the facility and surrounding areas to prevent and deter criminal activity.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations, and investigate incidents to determine their cause and appropriate course of action.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance cameras to identify potential security breaches.
- Conduct security checks on vehicles and personnel entering or leaving the facility.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care as needed.
- Use conflict management skills to resolve disputes and maintain a positive and respectful environment.
- Participate in loss prevention initiatives to reduce the risk of theft and shrinkage.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, security breaches, and other relevant information.
- Collaborate with other security personnel and law enforcement agencies to ensure a coordinated response to security threats.
- Perform other security-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
