Cumberland Mountain CSB is seeking a professional for an exciting career opportunity as an Infant Program Specialist. Duties include screening, assessment, service coordination, developing service plans and working directly with developmentally delayed and disabled infant / children and their families. Caseload is primarily children residing in Buchanan County. Salary is dependent upon level of experience. Excellent fringe benefits package.
Position Requirements
Candidates for this position must meet Part C Qualified Provider requirements and be willing to obtain Certification as an Early Intervention Professional and Early Intervention Case Manager through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Candidates with one of the following are eligible to apply :
- Licensure with an endorsement in Special Education - Early Childhood (birth-5) by the Virginia Board of Education
- Licensure with an endorsement in Early / Primary Education (PreK-3) or NK-4 or elementary education (PreK-6) by the Virginia Board of Education
- Licensure with endorsement in Career and Technical Education-Family and Consumer Sciences by the Virginia Board of Education
- Technical Professional License in Career and Technical Education-Family and Consumer Sciences by the Virginia Board of Education
- Licensure with endorsement in Special Education-Hearing Impairments (PreK-12) by the Virginia Board of Education
- Licensure with endorsement in Special Education-Visual Impairments (PreK-12) by the Virginia Board of Education
- Family and Consumer Science Professional with certification in human development and family studies through the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
- Certified Music Therapist
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Registered Nurse
All candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. Candidate for hire must also pass all CMCSB background screenings.

About the Organization
CMCSB was formed in 1972 as a Chapter 10 Community Services Board under Virginia law. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program. In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
