CREST is a leading provider of residential and employment services and training for adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance/On-Call Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position will primarily be responsible for maintaining the facility’s physical environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff, and providing on-call maintenance support as needed. The ideal candidate will be experienced in basic maintenance and repair work, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests and on-call emergencies in a timely manner
- Assist with regular inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the building and equipment
- Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs performed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a safe and efficient manner
- Work with team members to ensure that the environment is clean, functional, and well-maintained
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and company policies
- Assist in setting up and preparing residential spaces as needed
- Support other team members and assist with special projects
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in building maintenance or similar field preferred
- Knowledge of basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Must have a VALID drives license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed
- Willingness to undergo background checks, including criminal and reference checks
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others
