Position Purpose |
Applications are sought for adjunct instructors of History to teach HIS 191, 192, 201, and/or 202 in the Fall and Spring semesters. Courses may be taught on campus and/or at dual enrollment sites in area high schools. These courses are options for the fulfillment of the History component of Cumberland University's General Education Core, and in the History major. These survey courses should provide students with a rigorous introduction to major historical themes, as well as to college-level writing, thinking, and analysis. |

Experience |
Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching at the collegiate level. |
Education |
Completed Master's degree in United States History. 18 graduate hours in US History completed as part of a Master's degree in related field may be accepted. |

Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN and potentially at high school site(s) in Wilson County TN for dual enrollment courses. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. |
