Position Purpose |
Under the general direction of the Course Coordinator of the course for which the individual is employed, Adjunct Faculty will be responsible for facilitating the education of nursing students. This requires that Adjunct Faculty assume responsibility for planning, teaching, and evaluating content for specific nursing courses or clinical experiences |

Experience |
Required: Clinical proficiency in assigned area Preferred: 1-3 years teaching experience |
Education |
Required: Masters in Nursing or BSN with experience in the specific clinical area in which assigned; Current licensure in TN Preferred: Masters in Nursing or post-masters preparation in nursing education; Clinical proficiency; Current TN licensure; Certification in area of clinical responsibilities |
Additional Information |
Physical Requirements: Work requires the physical ability to meet the demands of clinical experiences. Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (lifting up to 30 pounds) is intermittent (not a routine part of the job) and secondary to the job. Environmental Requirements: Most work is performed under the conditions to be expected in a standard educational environment. While assisting students in clinical areas, work may involve some contact with potentially hazardous or harmful substances |
