Position Title: Graduate Assistant, Human Resources
Supervisor: Director of Human Resources
Compensation: Tuition Waiver
Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain the University mission statement
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Support the daily management of the HR office operations
• Provide customer service to Cumberland University employees
• Assist with onboarding and orientation procedures for new employees
• Perform regular administrative functions including phone calls, emails, scheduling appointments, distributing documents across campus
• Assist with updating/maintaining the HR database
• Compile/prepare reports and spreadsheets
• Prepare and organize files
• Participate in select projects related to employee relations, training/development, benefits, and payroll/accounting
• Successfully perform duties with limited supervision
• Assist with other projects as determined by the Office of Human Resources

Qualifications
• Must maintain a 3.0 or above overall GPA
• Must be enrolled in a graduate program at Cumberland University
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Must possess a high level of discretion
