Overview
The Army and Missile Defense Systems Program Director is responsible for the technical, financial, and programmatic execution of program(s) within the Army & Missile Defense Systems (AMDS) portfolio. The individual will serve as a primary interface with the customers on all technical and programmatic matters related to the contracts for which he/she is responsible. The Program Director will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and program management leadership to programs within the portfolio to fulfill customer and program requirements.
- Lead the execution of all program resources, ensure technical solutions are commensurate with customer requirements and established budgets. Identify and mitigate technical, financial, and/or contractual risks that arise during the execution of programs.
- Ensure the quality of products and services delivered on the program(s) meets corporate standards and customer expectations and achieves 100% on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Develop customer relationships that enable organic growth on programs and foster teaming/ collaboration on new business opportunities within the market portfolio.
- Lead the pursuit and capture of organic business development opportunities. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team on the pursuit and capture of strategic growth opportunities.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members and customer stakeholders throughout the execution of programs.
- Develop and track project/program plans and execution strategies in support of customer and corporate requirements.
- Prepare program status reports and briefing for corporate and customer reviews.
- Provide monthly estimates to complete for each program and ensure accurate program financial forecasts.
- Support Human Resources with all aspects of recruiting to meet program(s) staffing requirements.
- Execute program management activities in collaboration with corporate operations personnel to include; defining staffing requirements, recruiting, development of monthly technical reports, program management reports, and other contractual deliverables.
- Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the day to day performance of duties.
- Maintain an awareness and understanding of the corporate quality management system and how it applies to your program(s).
Skills and Competencies
- BS degree in Engineering, Math or a related field required, MS degree preferred.
- At least 15 years of technical leadership and/or program management experience with Army and/or Missile Defense programs required.
- Experience with hardware development and production preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with team members, customer and senior management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills on large complex programs in the Aerospace or DoD.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize work of others and deliver on time work products.
Clearance
Secret Clearance required, Top Secret preferred.
