Overview
We’re hiring: Equipement Operator
Cummings Electrical, a leading electrical contractor in the DFW area, is growing! Our Integrated Manufacturing business focuses on building partnerships with our mission-critical clients to provide world-class modular electrical buildings. We are currently seeking a hard-working, experienced Equipment Operator for our warehouse. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Equipment may include warehouse forklifts, motorized pallet jacks, reach forklifts (sky track), and other pieces of equipment.
Responsibilities

- Learn and follow safety regulations. Safe operation of equipment is a must; negligent and/or abusive operation will not be tolerated.
- Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures including safety initiatives.
- Promptly report any mechanical or safety problem with the equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Understand the value of teamwork and communications necessary to operate onsite functions.
- Perform a daily equipment walk-around inspection.
- Loading/Unloading of materials and deliveries.
- Usage of power tools to perform routine duties and tasks as necessary.
- Perform physical duties (lifting, climbing, cleaning of equipment).
- Work mostly indoors but still be subject to extremes of temperature and weather (i.e. warehouse environment)
- Assist in tasks such as moving or staging materials (conduit, electrical/HVAC equipment) other tasks related to underground electrical installation.
- Activities related to shipping and receiving of materials.
- 5 years of relevant equipment experience with proven safety record.
- Knowledge and experience working with different types and sizes of equipment.
Not required, but nice to have:
- Knowledge of KOJO or other WMS
- Bi-Lingual
- Experience with operating gantry cranes, forklifts, overhead cranes, or other heavy machinery.
