Overview
Product Engineer - Integrated Manufacturing
The Product Engineer must be able to create detailed 3D models and assemblies of electrical equipment and products using AutoCAD Inventor. Ability to produce complete and accurate production drawing packages for use by the production and prefabrication teams. Collaborate with operations leaders, project teams, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and project goals.
Responsibilities
• Interpret design concepts, markups, and technical specifications to develop buildable models and drawings.• Ensure models and drawings comply with internal design standards, quality expectations, and production capabilities.• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project teams or production personnel.• Work closely with the Product Engineering team to improve design processes and standards.• Assist in the development of templates, libraries, and standard parts within AutoCAD Inventor to drive efficiency.• Support the resolution of design-related challenges during fabrication or installation.
Qualifications:• Associate’s Degree or higher in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.• 2 years of experience in CAD drafting or product design using AutoCAD Inventor.• Proficiency in developing 3D models and production drawings.• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD 2D is a plus.• Knowledge of electrical systems and HVAC components is highly preferred.• Ability to interpret construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:• Experience in electrical construction, manufacturing, or prefabrication environments.• Familiarity with fabrication methods and production processes.• Experience creating equipment models for modular or prefabricated assemblies.
