Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the manufacturing process for aerospace machined parts, with a focus on precision components including high-strength steel landing gear and associated parts.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure timely and efficient production schedules.
- Optimize machining processes to meet quality standards and customer specifications, with an emphasis on precision and accuracy.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs while maintaining precision standards.
- Adhere to strict safety regulations and quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of precision machined components.
Requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is a plus.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in materials engineering or manufacturing processes are advantageous.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing, particularly in planning and coordinating the production of high-strength steel components.
- Familiarity with the processing requirements and challenges associated with high-strength steel materials.
- Experience in machining, heat treatment, surface treatment, and other relevant processes for steel components.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing and programming machining operations.
- Knowledge of ERP systems for production planning, inventory management, and resource allocation.
- Understanding of metallurgical principles and material properties of high-strength steels.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to aerospace components.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations, including AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations applicable to aerospace manufacturing processes.
