We are looking for a talented Sr. Data Analyst to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology in Seymour, IN. 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Enhancing Data Quality : By applying machine learning tools and techniques, you'll improve the quality of data and provide actionable recommendations to resolve issues.
• Informing Leadership Decisions : Conducting descriptive and diagnostic analytics and reviewing results with senior leadership will help guide strategic decisions.
• Identifying Key Patterns : Your ability to identify patterns and trends in data sets and apply statistical process controls will drive insights and improvements.
• Creating Advanced Reports : Developing complex reports and dashboards using advanced business intelligence tools will provide valuable insights and visualizations.
• Optimizing Data Management : By developing data profiles and evaluating data catalog entries, you'll ensure high-quality metadata and guide product development teams.
• Resolving Data Issues : Analyzing diverse data sets to identify and resolve data quality, coherency, and integrability issues will reduce redundancy and enhance data lifecycle management.
• Collaborating on Data Solutions : Working with teams to develop data cleansing methods and integrating analysis findings into governance solutions will improve overall data governance.
• Mentoring and Coaching : Providing guidance and reviewing the work of less experienced team members will foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  
  

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Data Literacy : Understand and express data in context, including sources, constructs, and analytical methods. Clearly describe use-case applications and the resulting value.
• Data Profiling : Assess data issues and cleansing requirements to ensure high-quality data through extraction, mapping, collection, and testing.
• Data Communication and Visualization: Create compelling visual narratives of business problems, root causes, solutions, and opportunities using reports and dashboards.
• Data Quality : Identify, understand, and correct data flaws to support effective information governance and decision-making processes.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

• College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant technical discipline, or relevant equivalent experience required.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  
  

Experience

• Intermediate experience in a relevant discipline is required.
• Knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in data science is highly preferred and includes:
• SQL query language execution on NOSql and SQL sources
• Exposure to Agile software development
• Exposure to IoT technology
• Data profiling tools, technologies and coding
• Data Catalog tools and technologies
• Business intelligence tools and technologies
• Intermediate experiences in the following are preferred:
• Exposure to Big Data open source
• Clustered compute cloud-based implementation experience
  
  

Qualifications

Additional Information:

This role will require to have experience and applied the following skills:

• Experience creating dashboards and business metrics out of multiple data sources
• Experience working with top-level assumptions and expand to lower-level details
• Experience with clustering techniques to be able to aggregate data meaningfully
• Experience creating data models and scenario modeling in software and in Excel
• Expert in Data visualization techniques in Power BI
• Advanced in SQL to query Oracle, Snowflake, OBIEE
• Skilled in programming Python or R
• Skilled in statistics, knows SPSS or Minitab
• Skilled in Web design and written communications
• Advanced excel skills
