DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Maintenance - Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Mineral Point, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure Equipment Availability : By performing maintenance and machine support tasks, you will keep equipment operational and minimize downtime.
  • Promote Safety : Actively report hazards, comply with HSE standards, and use appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Enhance Quality : High standards of workmanship support equipment uptime. Perform quality inspections to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Support Preventive Maintenance : Providing feedback and following preventive maintenance protocols helps prevent equipment failures and extend machinery life.
  • Improve Processes : By identifying and reducing manufacturing constraints, you'll contribute to more efficient production processes.
  • Maintain Cleanliness : Keeping your work area clean and orderly ensures a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Foster Teamwork : Communicating effectively with your team and participating in TPM activities, you'll help improve quality, safety, and employee development.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement : By solving problems and participating in continuous improvement activities, you'll help enhance overall operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Ensure Controls Safety : Recognize and address hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls in the manufacturing environment. Incorporate safe practices and procedures into your daily work to reduce injuries and maintain a safe machine environment.
  • Apply Manufacturing Knowledge : Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes by correctly implementing changes to equipment and applications. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and meet the function's needs.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement : Actively participate in identifying and solving problems and contribute to process improvements. Your input will help drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain High Standards : Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship in all tasks. Ensure quality in your work to support equipment uptime and minimize cost and quality exposures.
  • Promote Teamwork : Communicate effectively with your team and participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities. Your involvement will help improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Maintenance: Local Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance work to maintain structures, machines, pneumatic/hydraulic repair, etc.

Light tool work.

Repair and replace parts on such mechanical equipment such as presses, drills, etc.

Ability to read blueprints, job data sheets, safety instructions, etc.

Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks.

Machine repair including Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic.

Cross functional team-work.

Compensation:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
