- Efficient Production Scheduling : By developing and maintaining production schedules that align with sales forecasts and plant capacity, you'll ensure customer demands are met promptly.
- Optimized Inventory Management : Collaborating with Material Planners and Operations, you'll optimize raw material, work-in-process, and finished goods stocking strategies, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance : By reporting incidents and complying with HSE standards, you'll contribute to a safer and healthier workplace.
- Quality Assurance : Following standard work procedures and collaborating with Quality teams, you'll help maintain high product quality and timely disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Risk Mitigation : Understanding and addressing risks such as downtime and material shortages will help minimize their impact on production schedules, ensuring smooth operations.
- Data-Driven Improvements : Collecting and analyzing data to identify bottlenecks and other issues will enable you to suggest and implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

- Materials Planning System Utilization : Use the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking corrective actions based on root cause analysis. Utilize tools like Excel, Access, TOAD, and OMS for problem-solving.
- Part Change Control Management : Evaluate and implement engineering change requests to meet customer delivery requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP) : Apply PFEP principles to ensure the right part is delivered at the right time, in the right quantity, and to the right place, ensuring smooth operations.
- Detailed Capacity Planning : Translate the Master Production Schedule into detailed resource requirements, optimizing internal capacity utilization and identifying constraints. Negotiate changes to the schedule or resources when demand exceeds capacity.
- Master Supply Scheduling : Establish and maintain a valid Master Production Schedule that meets customer expectations and maximizes operational efficiency.
- Materials KPI Management : Assess supply chain performance against organizational expectations, interpret KPIs to understand end-customer impact, and strategically balance trade-offs to influence KPIs.
- Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) : Convert the Demand Plan and Master Supply Plan into critical resource requirements, negotiating changes to balance supply and demand for long-term resource planning.
- Valuing Differences : Recognize and appreciate the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization.
