- Strong Analytical Skills: You will need to analyze cost variances (IPV/PPV and monthly movements), determine root causes, and prepare recommendations for improvements. This requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in Cost Accounting: Understanding and maintaining cost master data, creating and maintaining costing for new items, and conducting cost audits and analysis are crucial. Familiarity with standard costing methods and practices will be essential.
- Data Management: Identifying data analysis needs and working with appropriate departments to obtain the necessary data regularly will be important. You should be comfortable with data collection, management, and analysis tools.
- Effective Communication: Preparing analysis and drafting presentation materials for review by your supervisor will require clear and concise communication skills. You should be able to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Analyzing cost variances and determining root causes will require strong problem-solving skills. You should be able to think critically and develop practical solutions to improve processes.
