Additional Information:
- This position is responsible for leading work team(s) to ensure success in attaining stated objectives. Incumbent ensures the resources, skills, training, materials and information are available to the team to safely meet stakeholders’ expectations. This position will directly impact production and material handling responsibilities within the Plainfield facility.
- Provide on-going support for union-free environment through accessibility, responsiveness and consistent application of policies/procedures.
- Ensure safe and productive plant operations through employee training and resolving of safety issues.
- As required provide procedures, work instructions and identify and provide special environmental training in conjunction with the Environmental Representative.
- Ensure that individuals engaged in operations that influence the environment have the authority and access to management to fulfill the requirements of the Environmental Management System.
- Identify, investigate and record environmental problems as well as recommend and/or initiate problem resolution and recommend actions for continuous improvement of the EMS.
- Motivate team(s) to ensure success in attaining stated objectives.
- Support the communication efforts for the Plainfield facility through the Formal Communication Process and consistent discipline. Serve as communications link between team(s) and organization.
- Accountable for leading team in work process improvements to attain AOP objectives. Coach team members for increased performance, counsel and take corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and promote an environment where team members coach other team members to the point where teams/employees are empowered.
- Ensure compliance to the annual performance review process. Manage and address performance issues as they occur.
- Lead departmental and cross-functional task/project teams.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and train and motivate employees.

- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with (3) or more years’ experience supervising/leading others.
- Strong people management skills
- Lean management background preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills in motivating, problem solving, counseling, evaluating, and training team members.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook
