Job Description
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Scarborough, ME.
You will make an impact in the following ways :
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance / repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development / certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
Responsibilities
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :
Advanced) :
Education, Licenses, Certifications :
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience :
Advanced level knowledge of and / or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will be tasked with a diverse set of responsibilities that span both our In-Shop Departments and Field Service team. This role is particularly suited for individuals with an adaptive personality, capable of managing cross-functional tasks. A background in power generation and familiarity with marine terminology is preferred but not required. Additionally, possession of a class A driver's license is preferred, though candidates should be prepared to obtain this license within a 12-month timeframe if they do not already have it. This position is not only technical but also dynamic, requiring a blend of practical skills and the flexibility to meet various operational demands.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
