Circle Academy, Rossville, IL, is a therapeutic day school that prepares and empowers students with emotional and behavioral challenges for successful experiences in school and in life. The school is seeking an Assistant Principal to assist in providing a structured, nurturing, and therapeutic learning environment for our K – 12 students.
The Assistant Principal, under the direction of the Principal, oversees effective therapeutic programing approaches, data driven interventions, curriculum and instruction, academic/behavioral/social emotional assessments, individualized special education programming, school safety protocols, and extracurricular activities. The Assistant Principal will also supervise professional and support staff.
General Requirements: Candidates must possess a ISBE Type 75 Administrative License or an ISBE Administrative Endorsement, and a valid Illinois driver’s license. 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred. 5 years of experience working with youth with severe emotional / behavioral challenges is preferred. LBS I and/or LBS II Licensure is preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and be able to manage confidential information. Prospective employees are required to submit to a pre-employment physical and background check.
