Cunningham Children's Home in Urbana, IL has a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children who have recently migrated to the US!
The Caminos program provides a safe, secure placement option for these children who are seeking opportunities for reunification with family and the chance to pursue their education and immigration cases.
The Milieu Coordinator is responsible for supervising direct care counselors to provide trauma-informed services to Caminos youth. The team works to create a safe, therapeutic living space and innovative, culturally sensitive programming.
This position earns a competitive wage of $23.60 to $32.45 and is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

This position provides modeling, coaching, motivation, and supervision to staff as they follow established guidelines in maintaining a therapeutic milieu. Coordinators are leaders and trainers in our program and interface with medical providers and other individuals directly involved with the various aspects of care of our clients.
Requirements for the position include:
- Associate's Degree, preferably in Human Services
- At least 3 years of related child welfare and/or social service experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a management/supervisor position
- Ability to work effectively with others, including leading, managing, and communicating effectively with a diverse group of team members
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality
- Fluency to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish preferred
- Have total use of a motor vehicle which is capable of being used on the job, when necessary, for transporting clients
Extensive training will be provided. Prospective employees must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid Illinois driver's license that has not been suspended in the previous three years, and proof of auto insurance. In addition, prospective employees are required to submit to a pre-employment background check and physical.
