We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent - Small Projects Team to join our team and help lead projects that positively impact on our clients and communities.
Position Overview:
As a Small Projects Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities for multiple small-scale and/or tenant buildout construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will be a key leader in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA requirements, promoting a culture of safety, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple small-scale projects and tenant improvement buildouts, including coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
- Ensure projects are executed according to the approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Maintain a proven track record of safety by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines, conducting regular safety meetings, and addressing potential hazards proactively.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and improve project outcomes.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Prepare and submit daily reports detailing site activities, progress, and any challenges encountered.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in small commercial projects or tenant improvement work.
- Proven track record of safety leadership and compliance with OSHA requirements and guidelines.
- Strong understanding of interior buildout methods, materials, and local codes.
- Experience with tight timelines, occupied spaces, and phased construction schedules.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project) and project management tools is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
