Position Overview
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Cunningham Digital Services will be a key executive team member responsible for developing and implementing a business strategy to acquire new customers and drive revenue growth for the company. Cunningham Digital Services eliminates the complexity in ad tech with a single platform to plan, execute, measure, and report CTV, OTT, Audio, Display, DOOH, and Walled Gardens for our clients. The CRO will spearhead all aspects of the sales process, from leveraging relationships they’ve made in the industry, to identifying and qualifying prospects, building senior executive relationships, crafting compelling proposals, and closing business.
Key Responsibilities- Revenue Strategy & Growth:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy aligning with the company’s vision and market opportunities.
- Build, manage, and grow a book of business in the CTV/OTT and Omnichannel digital marketplace.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set measurable revenue targets and implement performance metrics.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Create senior-level relationships at agencies, brands, and other potential end users of the platform including media properties and SMBs.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by aligning services with client needs and market trends
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize market analytics and performance data to inform strategic decisions and forecast revenue.
- Monitor industry trends and local market conditions to adjust strategies proactively.
- Report regularly to the executive team on revenue performance and strategic initiatives.
- Financial Oversight & Budget Management:
- Oversee revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure that revenue growth strategies are financially sustainable and aligned with overall business objectives.
- Manage the allocation of resources across revenue-generating initiatives.
- Team Building & Collaboration:
- Build, manage, and scale a high-performing revenue team.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with technology and creative teams to leverage new tools and platforms for revenue optimization.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the digital advertising or Demand Side Platform (DSP) industry. (CTV, OTT, Audio, Display, DOOH)
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving revenue growth
- Relationships with agencies, brands, and clients at the national, regional, and local levels.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiating, and closing skills
- Proficiency in sales, marketing, and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Passion to work as a player-coach to build and manage a book of business while building a successful sales team and processes.
