This opportunity is a Year-Round position. The person in this role will be responsible for assisting the manager, and other staff, in the day to day operations of the bakery. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a bakery or cafe, a love for the food industry, customer service skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the bakery field. This position is great for either the experienced worker, or someone new, just entering the work force, as we are willing to train. A large part of the job will be multi-tasking while waiting on customers, as we are very customer-focused, and strive to provide top-notch customer service, along with our quality products.
Qualifications
- Customer service background
- Food handling knowledge
- Kitchen experience
- Culinary/Food Service experience
- Cake decorating skills (helpful, but not required)
Responsibilities:
- Wait on customers promptly in shop, and on the phone.
- Operate cash register (POS) to make sales.
- A variety of kitchen tasks, and day to day bakery assistance.
- Keep store stocked with bakery products, ingredients & supplies.
- Conform to standard food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Clean & sanitize the kitchen and equipment as needed.
- Measure, Mix and Bake related bakery items
- Operate mixing machines and ovens as needed.
This is a Year-Round position which requires some closing shifts, it may include some day shifts, and it requires at least one shift every weekend.
