We are looking to add a motivated, effective Chef Manager to our CURA team in Minnetonka. As a Chef Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that we meet the meal service needs of residents & all customers.

The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add a motivated, effective Chef Manager to our CURA team in Minnetonka. As a Chef Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that we meet the meal service needs of residents & all customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing all functions of a small food service department and the team
- Manage, lead & coach a small team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
- Preparing and serving resident meals in assisted living and memory care.
- Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
- Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
- Conferring with the district manager and working with other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
- Addressing resident meal preferences & their service needs.
Must-haves:
- At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations with experience in assisted living and memory care.
- Previous experience with small senior living locations, actively cooking meals & managing culinary team
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
- The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
- Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.
- ServSafe and MN Department of Health CFPM
- Previous experience in Senior Living dining services
- Previous experience with food service contract management
