SUMMARY
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with providers and facilities to obtain patient face sheets
- Perform insurance verification through Onesource or by calling insurance carriers
- Input data into Billing System on new patients
- Ensure accuracy of demographic information
- Update insurance information on existing patients
- Document management
- Process billing timely and accurately
- Obtain Authorization if required by Insurance
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Billing experience (2 years minimum)
- Time Management skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and internet skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; high attention to detail
- Proficient with computers, able to enter and process data quickly and accurately
- Punctual, professional and dependable
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance and Managed Care Plans.
