Description
The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in the efficient function(s) of the Senior Living team. They oversee day-to-day operations, manage staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and facilitate a positive patient experience. This role requires a blend of administrative, managerial, and interpersonal skills to coordinate clinical operations effectively.
Job Duties and Expectations
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, and train clinical support staff.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage payroll.
- Provide ongoing supervision, support, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment conducive to teamwork and professional development.
Financial Management
- Manage according to budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for engagement events at communities.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure smooth clinical operations by coordinating patient flow, appointment scheduling, and room utilization.
- Interdepartmental collaboration with Clinical Operations to ensure cohesive operations.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Implement and enforce clinic policies and procedures to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Patient Experience
- Monitor patient satisfaction levels and implement strategies to enhance the patient experience.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient care processes and minimize wait times.
- Oversee the implementation of patient education initiatives and preventive care programs. Ensure clinical support staff is integrated into our community's activities and promoting patient engagement.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and other privacy laws governing patient information.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or management, preferably in a primary care setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Proficiency in healthcare billing and coding processes and knowledge of insurance regulations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare IT applications.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards governing healthcare practices.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
