DSP (Direct Support Professional)/ Caregiver

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, enhancing their quality of life.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation for healthcare providers.
• Maintain cleanliness in the client's living environment to promote health and safety.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities as needed, including transferring from bed to wheelchair.
• Document all care provided in medical records accurately and promptly.
• Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or home community care is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices is essential.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to administer medications safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail in maintaining clean environments and accurate medical records.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
