Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our team and support the planning and execution of various events. As an integral part of our events team, you will assist in the organization of a wide range of functions, from corporate meetings and conferences to social gatherings and community outreach programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events from conception to execution.
- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual needs.
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure all necessary arrangements are secured and confirmed.
- Create and maintain event timelines, budgets, and checklists to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate attendee registrations, communications, and outreach efforts to maximize attendance.
- Provide on-site support during events to ensure everything runs smoothly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in event planning or coordination is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and vendors.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with event planning software and tools.
