Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate in the development of a comprehensive data platform that serves as the core data infrastructure and pipeline architecture for our end-to-end SaaS healthcare solution. Directly contribute to technical solutions while ensuring the platform is scalable, reliable, and fully aligned with business objectives
- Define and implement best practices in data architecture, data modeling, and data governance. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data engineering and data science to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge
- Build strong relationships with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders. Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other departments to ensure the data platform meets business requirements. Influence cross-functional initiatives related to data tools, governance, and cross-domain data sharing
- Guide your team from design to buildout. Influence and define the long-term vision, mission, and data strategies. Ensure technical designs are thoroughly evaluated and aligned with business objectives
- Manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Recruit top talent, provide challenging opportunities, and ensure the delivery of high-quality data products
- Actively address performance issues, system deficiencies, technical challenges, and new feature development to ensure the best outcomes for the company
- Communicate complex concepts and findings effectively to stakeholders
- Currently located in the Seattle Metro Region and able to work hybrid on-site a minimum of three days per week at our Bellevue location
- 10 years of experience in software development, with 5 years of people management experience. Must have a proven track record of effectively managing teams to meet objectives and deliver results
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree desired
- Extensive hands-on experience in architecting and building complex data platforms and SaaS products. Strong architectural vision with the ability to design robust data systems that serve as reliable organizational infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud-based services and data tools such as GCP, AWS, Snowflake, with expertise in data ingestion, normalization, and modeling. Experience with Databricks is advantageous
- Strong experience in building production-level systems, deploying models at scale, and utilizing data pipeline orchestration and visualization tools
- Ability to understand complex business systems and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies as needed. Proven ability to work with and lead remote teams to achieve sustainable long-term success
- Proven ability to influence and deliver high-impact initiatives. Forward-thinking mindset with the ability to define and drive the team's mission, vision, and long-term strategies
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and collaborating effectively across departments
- Strong writing and communication skills with keen business intuition and adaptability to new technologies
- A passion for quality and a “Can Do” attitude, balanced with a sense of responsibility to customers and the team.
