Position Overview :
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services. This includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and the delivery of therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the needs of clients. The LCSW will work with individuals, families, and groups to address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges, aiming to enhance clients' well-being and coping skills.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Client Assessment and Diagnosis :
- Conduct comprehensive assessments through interviews, observations, and testing to identify clients' needs and formulate diagnostic impressions.
- Develop a clear understanding of clients' mental health, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
2. Treatment Planning and Implementation :
Create individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and objectives.Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other modalities appropriate to the client’s condition.3. Therapeutic Services :
Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship challenges.Utilize interventions that promote resilience, problem-solving, and improved emotional regulation.4. Crisis Intervention :
Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.Collaborate with other professionals to ensure clients’ immediate safety and long-term recovery plans.5. Coordination and Advocacy :
Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate comprehensive care.Advocate for clients to ensure access to necessary resources and services.6. Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain detailed records of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.Prepare reports and communicate with other professionals as needed.7. Continuing Education and Professional Development :
Stay informed about advancements in the field of social work and mental health through ongoing education and training.Participate in supervision, case reviews, and peer consultations.Qualifications :
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.Current state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).Proven experience in clinical settings, preferably with diverse populations.Strong understanding of clinical social work practices, ethical principles, and relevant laws and regulations.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Work Environment :
LCSWs may work in a private practice setting. The position may hours are flexible to accommodate clients' needs.
