Director of Behavioral Health in Vermont

The health center is growing and seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to lead the growth of their behavioral health department, expanding both the size of the department and the services offered.

Responsibilities
Clinical (4 days)
- Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care)
- Collaborate with primary care and psychiatric providers to ensure integrated care, appropriate medication management, and support patients in crisis
Administrative (1 day)
- Supervise and mentor behavioral health clinicians, offering clinical supervision toward licensure
- Lead the development of behavioral health policies and collaborate with leadership to align services with organizational objectives
Schedule
- Responsibilities are 80% clinical, 20% administrative
- The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (with some flexibility; the health center is open 7AM to 6PM most days)
- No on-call, evening, or weekend commitments
- Patient sessions are approximately 50-60 minutes per session, with 90-minute intakes for thorough documentation
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist is required.
