Physical Requirements : Medium Work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Constant physical movement, including standing for extended periods and moving around the dining area.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Dining Services Manager to oversee and manage the overall operation of the Dining Services Department within our assisted living community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our residents receive nutritious, delicious meals in a pleasant, safe, and comfortable environment. The Dining Services Manager will lead the dining team, monitor food quality and service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments to foster a positive and engaging dining experience for all residents.
Supervisory Functions
- Work closely with the Executive Director to align dining services with the facility's overall mission and resident needs.
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the dining services, including menu planning, food preparation, serving, and sanitation.
- Train and supervise dietary staff in day-to-day kitchen operations ensuring exceptional service while adhering to safety standards.
- Schedule staff exercising discretion when creating the schedule and in making determinations regarding employee requests for time off or other modifications in work schedules.
- Responsible for tracking attendance and effectively carrying out disciplinary action where appropriate.
- Strictly adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety and sanitation, promptly addressing any transgression, including taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending same where appropriate.
- Maintain strict inventory control and keep stock of specified items.
