Position Summary :
The primary role of the Warehouse Assistant I is to provide timely, accurate, safe and effective receipt, storage and delivery of goods and materials through the Curbell Medical warehouse, receiving, or shipping departments.
Essential Functions :
- Perform varied warehousing duties including :
- Assisting in the unloading, sorting, processing inbound goods receipts
- Performing labeling, stocking, and put-away activities
- Parts selection, order assembly, and delivery directly to shipping area
- Order pulling, parts kitting and delivery directly to production areas
- Maintaining and replenishing Kan Ban and point-of-use storage locations
- Practicing excellent housekeeping, organization and safe handling practices
- Assist in inventory discrepancy investigations
- Active participation in special projects and assignments
- Maintains high quality service by strictly following organizational procedures and standards. Completes all necessary paperwork, and processes systems transactions in a timely and highly accurate manner. Demonstrates a strong desire to ensure compliance to required dates and proactively resolves potential roadblocks and concerns that risk noncompliance to date requirements.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat and well organized.
- Maintains effective and safe materials storage requirements by continually sorting, segregating, cleaning, organizing and protecting goods in storage locations.
- Compiles with all procedures, rules, and regulations for the safe and effective handling and storage of inventory including compliance to appropriate PPE and ESD handling procedures.
- Work effectively and efficiently in a cooperative team environment. Must be positive, flexible, willing and able to assist in all material handling functions. Must communicate effectively to provide solutions to internal Customers in downstream, dependent processes.
