Bookkeeper

Curbs Plus, Inc. is looking for a dynamic and experienced Bookkeeper for our corporate office in Ringgold, GA. This individual must be detailed-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. A successful candidate demonstrates good judgement and can handle a variety of responsibilities within a very busy work environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reconcile general ledger and enter adjusting entries
• Record bank transfers and reconcile bank accounts
• File monthly sales tax and use returns
• Submit payroll taxes and tax returns
• Work with accounts payable to ensure proper reconciliation of corporate charge cards and health insurance
• Research and correct account discrepancies
• Create and maintain data for monthly reporting with Excel spreadsheets
• Order office supplies for corporate office
• Process daily check deposits with remote deposit system
• Backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable, as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a bookkeeper; or equivalent combination of education and experience in an accounting field required
• Proficiency and hands-on experience with spreadsheets required
• Working knowledge of Sage 100 a plus
• Experience within a manufacturing environment a plus
• Detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Have high ethical standards and ability to meet strict deadlines
• Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Background with invoicing and payments
