SUMMARY:
Provides clinical and administrative support involving clinical projects and operations. This is an exempt, salaried position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Relieves the supported VP of various projects and functions.
- Composes professional correspondence and memoranda, E-mails, faxes, letters, and reports.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the VP’s schedule.
- Supports various departmental functions and employees.
- Attends various meetings and takes appropriate action when necessary.
- Drafts policies and procedures related to clinical operations.
- Assists in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly in all areas and provides guidance on clinic workflows.
- Identifies areas of risk and gaps through monitoring and auditing to create action plans.
- Works collaboratively to implement quality improvement processes.
- Ensures ongoing regulatory compliance and readiness through established practices to check for alignment with regulatory standards.
- Collects and analyzes data related to the patient experience and reports on trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Implements patient experience initiatives.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare.
- A minimum of three (3) years healthcare experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to educate other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that other departments and services are included in the healthcare plan.
- Performs difficult and responsible administrative work using independent judgement.
- General knowledge of quality management, clinic operations, and risk management.
PYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, reach.
- Frequently required to handle several face-to-face and telephone contacts daily.
- Frequently required to utilize visual acuity to operate office equipment and use a keyboard.
- Occasionally required to move items up to 15 pounds.
