The Supervising Legal Coordinator will support the firm’s attorneys in managing appearances for legal proceedings, including motions, hearings, court appearances, depositions, and trials. In addition, the Supervising Legal Coordinator will be responsible for the performance, quality, productivity, and dependability of the Legal Coordinators. To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to address the calendar needs of staff counsel.

Essential Job Functions
- Support the paralegals in scheduling/confirming depositions and court appearances
- Review, edit and adjust the litigation calendar, and communicate deadlines with appropriate staff
- Communicate in writing and verbally with attorneys, witnesses, and clients to schedule and/or confirm appearances
- Draft legal documents and pleadings, including deposition notices, subpoenas, authorization, motions, and certifications, as directed by attorneys and/or paralegal staff
- Organize and manage files, documents, and exhibits, and assist with trial preparation
- File legal documents with federal and state courts, using the rules and requirements as determined by the specific court.
- Assist with the interviewing and onboarding process for new hires
- Facilitate training and development for both new hires and existing employees
- Supervision responsibility for performance, quality, productivity, and dependability for all legal coordinators
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College Degree (4yr preferred)
- Legal/law firm experience preferred with the litigation or insurance defense
- The candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and spreadsheet analysis
- 4 years’ experience as a Legal Coordinator handling insurance related defense cases specific to No Fault/PIP coverage, bodily injury and/or UM/UIM claims
- Prior management/supervision experience preferred
