We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Analyst to join our team in the chemical manufacturing and warehousing industry. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and executing the daily procurement activities of our production facility, ensuring efficient and timely execution. This role will focus on optimizing procurement processes, negotiating favorable pricing and terms, and driving cost savings for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials. The ideal candidate will have a data-driven approach to procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and experience leveraging NetSuite for purchasing and supplier management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs on raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials while maintaining quality standards.
- Leverage NetSuite for procurement planning, purchase order management, supplier tracking, and cost analysis.
- Manage the intercompany purchase order/sales order process (PO/SO) to ensure seamless coordination and accurate financial tracking between business units.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, volume discounts, and favorable payment terms.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance improvements and long-term cost savings.
- Conduct spend analysis and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
- Source new vendors and materials to support the development and launch of new products, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply reliability.
- Find innovative solutions for new products, including researching alternative materials or suppliers to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and production teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
- Monitor and analyze key procurement metrics, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
