Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Long-Term Care Pharmacist to join our team at our LA Alhambra store. This full-time position (32 hours per week) is designed for a professional ready to advance into a pharmacy management role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, developing and implementing protocols and policies for medication storage, distribution, and management, and providing high-quality care to our patients.
Long-Term Care Pharmacist, Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations, including inventory management and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Provide high-quality care and service to our patients, ensuring the accurate delivery of pharmaceutical care.
- Lead and mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a collaborative and patient-focused work environment.
- Develop and implement protocols and policies for medication storage and distribution.
- Conduct drug utilization reviews to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Provide patient education on medication use and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- PharmD or equivalent degree required.
- Must hold an active Pharmacist license in California.
- 3-5 years of professional experience preferred, though recent graduates with strong growth potential are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in medication management principles, with a solid understanding of legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice.
