Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medical Records Clerk. As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a medical office setting and sending them electronically.
- Duties: - Organize and file patient medical records in accordance with established procedures - Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing for missing or incomplete information - Retrieve and prepare medical records for patient appointments, referrals, and other requests - Scan and input paper documents into electronic health record systems - Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Assist healthcare providers and staff with locating and accessing patient records as needed - Respond to requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, government agencies and other authorized parties - Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow in the medical office Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent -
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A MEDICAL OFFICE ISREQUIRED, DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS OF MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of basic medical procedures -_ Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems _- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
