JOB DESCRIPTION
The Therapeutic Assays department at Curi Bio engages with biotech and pharmaceutical clients to use proprietary technology to design and model diseases in engineered 3D tissues and organ-on-a-chip technologies. A leader in iPSC-derived cardiac and skeletal tissue models, the Therapeutic Assays team utilizes in-house Biological, Engineering, and AI technology to create high fidelity in vitro assays that model real human outcomes in pharma discovery and rare disease. At the Nexus of biology and engineering, you will work with our engineers, bio-engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to create biology and engineering solutions for disease modeling. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of disease biology, a desire to use cutting-edge technology to push forward progress, and the ability to handle and manage multiple, exciting, and diverse projects
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engineering of 3D skeletal and cardiac muscle tissues.
- Perform disease-modeling experiments using custom 3D engineered tissues.
- Maintenance and recording, and microscopy of engineered tissues.
- Detailed, up-to-date, and well-documented cell culture and microscopy in an Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
- Rotation with laboratory staff for weekend work and laboratory duties.
- Possibility of customer interaction and presentation.
