We are seeking a Business Development & Technical Sales Manager, Biosolutions and Care Chemicals. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying new opportunities, develop and strengthen customer relationships while initiating interaction to obtain projects. Initially, these efforts will be focused on personal care and household cleaning markets.

In addition, the candidate would contribute to the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products. Development and facilitation of the proposal process for specific clients including presentations, project development, proposal writing, and contract negotiations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategically identify and target new markets, industries, and customer segments
  • Manage distributor relationships
  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve long-term growth objectives
  • Build partnerships and foster strong, lasting relationships with current and potential customers
  • Serve as a technical expert to customers, providing detailed product recommendations and troubleshooting assistance
  • Present product demonstrations and deliver technical insights that align with customer needs
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to tailor solutions for customer-specific challenges
  • Lead customer conversations to uncover business challenges and align products or services to address them
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to customer inquiries, quotes, and technical questions
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and identify areas of opportunity
  • Develop targeted strategies to increase market penetration and product visibility
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to guide product development and improvements

Qualifications

  • Tenacity, strategic thinking, and natural curiosity are the key qualities needed for this position. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pursue business relationships and not be discouraged by rejection
  • B.S. in Business, Chemistry, or a related field
  • 3-5 years in a technical sales or business development role
  • Ability to grow sales from $0 to $5M for new product launches
  • Strong abilityto blend technical expertise with business acumen to drive sales and growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse customers and colleagues
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% (Domestically & International)

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.Sor Ph.Din Business, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Proven track record in business development and/or technical sales in a related industry
  • Solid understanding of product application, troubleshooting, and regulatory requirements
  • Technical knowledge of haircare, preservation, and laundry/household cleaning
  • Use of Salesforce or other CRM systems.
