What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at Curio Wellness?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leadership
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, training and developing of all staff
- Participate in setting specific expectations for how to conduct job duties
- Hold staff accountable against stated expectations
- Provide regular, honest feedback to all staff
- Regularly evaluate staffing needs and adjust as needed
- Develop and maintain culture consistent with overall corporate parameters including medicinal and clinical focus
- Conduct personnel performance reviews per direction from the Curio Wellness Human Resources department
- Provide direct leadership to assistant managers including collaboratively determining their duties
- Coordinate, plan and execute team meetings as needed
- Develop and maintain a culture of sales
- Drive top line revenue to meet and exceed stated goals
- Properly operate location including adhering to all pre-determined processes
- Determine and procure proper product mix maintaining gross margin goals
- Set pricing for all products in dispensary and HP
- Maintain proper inventory levels in accordance with plan and budget
- Co-create Marketing strategy with staff and Marketing department
- Schedule personnel in accordance with store needs and budgets
- Learn and understand all technology and systems
- Properly maintain physical space and equipment
- Oversee proper handling of all monies
- Oversee spa personnel and services offered
- Co-create financial budget and monitor ongoing adherence to budget
- Monitor financial performance and be prepared to report results
- Oversee all safety and security initiatives
- Maintain and promote brand definition as a medicinal and clinically focused location
- Drive innovation around sales, operations and systems
- Assist in the overall determination of short and long-term strategy
- Collect all important data required to understand and run business
- Analyze all KPIs surrounding sales, margins, inventory, patient counts and behaviors, etc.
- Learn dispensary landscape including competitive landscape near existing location and around state
- Support and offer scheduled patient consultations around traditional pharmaceuticals, medical cannabis, nutraceuticals and supplements
- Create concepts and tools for ongoing education of patients and staff
- Execute ongoing education initiatives
- Oversee creation of programming schedule for education
- Learn and maintain continual awareness and understanding of complete set of specific rules and regulations determined by the law and by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission
- Ensure Wellness Center remains fully compliant
- Oversee continuous initiative of maintaining up to date accurate sops
- Oversee all compliance audits with corporate
- Oversee all inspections and interactions with MMCC personnel
- Complete and submit all necessary documentation and reports to MMCC as requested and expected
- Attend and add value to Curio Wellness Executive Team Meetings
- Attend and add value to the Curio Wellness Scientific Advisory Board
- Participate in strategic discussions as requested
- Engage in honest, innovative, problem solving dialogue
- Prepare cash deposits per sops as needed
- Conduct daily reconciliations of Canpay, Cashless ATM and cash with Greenbits
- Perform cash drops as needed
- Be available in case of emergency (e.g., alarm triggers, etc.)
- Promote the mission, vision and values of the company to all team members at all times
- Perform administrative duties including reading and writing and answering emails, texts and calls in a timely and professional manner

Doctorate Degree (PH.D, MD. JD, EED) in Pharmacy or related field and Registered Pharmacist
