Job Description:

Assuming that you are an avid animal lover seeking a career in pet care, there is no better option for you than working as a Pet Sitter with Curly Tail Care Company. We are offering you the position of a Part-Time Professional Pet Sitter, where you will dedicate your time to animals in need. Your duties include staying in the owner's home or visiting multiple times a day to check on the pet, take them for walks, provide food, treats, and water, administer medication if needed, and keep them company.

A Pet Sitter should be organized, energetic, experienced with animals, empathetic, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills. One of the most important skills is the ability to gain the owner’s trust and establish a meaningful relationship with the pet. After all, you would be spending a lot of time as a part-time member of a family. Pet sitting is not just a job but also a rewarding experience that brings joy and satisfaction to both you and the pets in your care. If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!

Pet Sitter Duties & Responsibilities:

• Staying in the owner’s home or visiting multiple times a day.
• Acquainting yourself with pet needs, habits, and character.
• Checking on pets regularly.
• Providing food, fresh water, and treats.
• Administering medication if required.
• Ability to administer insulin is a plus.
• Taking pets for walks and engaging them in exercise.
• Training and reinforcing good behavior.
• Playing with pets and keeping them mentally stimulated.
• Keeping in touch with the owner and reporting on the pet’s condition and behavior.
• Reporting any signs of illness or injury.
• Respecting and protecting owners’ property while cleaning up after pets.
• Performing additional household tasks (e.g., collecting mail, taking trash cans out for pickup days, laundry, etc.) as requested.
• Pet sitters must be comfortable staying overnight in clients' homes by themselves (no friends or family allowed to stay over with the sitter).
• Pet sitters will be provided with a company shirt for all meet and greets and must be professional looking at all times while representing the company at events or fundraising events.

Pet Sitter Requirements:

• Experience working with animals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of animal behavior.
• Ability to perform first aid if necessary.
• Pet CPR is a plus.
• Patience, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Trustworthiness and reliability.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a reliable cell phone for GPS purposes.
• Must pass a Background Check and provide References.
• We pay on a Percentage of the service total and do not pay for mileage or tolls
• Pet sitters get paid on a weekly basis and must have a bank account or Venmo for payments to be deposited.
• You must follow company guidelines and be willing to sign a Nondisclosure/Noncompetition Agreement.
