Position : Registered Veterinary Technician

Clinic Hours : Monday - Saturday 8am-6pm CLOSED on Sundays.
Role & Responsibilities :
Facilitate communications (phone, text, email and in-person) and cultivate positive client experiences
Interact with veterinary professionals and escalate complex communications when appropriateFacilitate and manage appointment and surgical schedulesMaintain accurate and up-to-date records (including client communications)Technology FocusFielding and managing multi-line phone systems
Fielding and responding to electronic communicationsUtilize cloud-based software application (EzyVet)Patient CareSafe and reliable restraint
Advanced mathematicsSupport appointment related activities as needed (i.e. obtaining histories, TPRs / weights, assisting with medical records)Perform standard appointment procedures (i.e. vaccinations, nail trims, ear cleanings, etc.)Complete hospital admissions (i.e. verifying consent forms, patient information, medications, and fasting status)Perform routine technical procedures including but not limited to venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy administration (including calculation of rates of flow)Induce, maintain and monitor patients under sedation and general anesthesiaPerform therapeutic procedures and complete diagnostics (including laboratory and radiology imaging studies)Assist with surgical and dental procedures as directedEquipmentPerform routine maintenance (as needed) to ensure equipment is in working order
Clean and care for surgical instruments (including wrapping packs and managing the autoclave cycles)Assist with inventory management (as directed)FacilitiesMaintain a clean and inviting environment, adhering to OSHA requirements
Comply with and complete requirements related to the administration and management of controlled substances, ensuring DEA complianceTrainingParticipate in the development and training of other technicians and veterinary assistants (under the direction of the PM and Medical Director)

2 years of veterinary experience4 years of customer service experienceAssociate or bachelors degree preferredVT certification (required, or can be reinstated within the first ninety days)A strong passion for helping othersHigh emotional intelligence and effective communication skills, especially in receiving and responding to feedbackProficiency with conflict resolution and being solution orientedAbility to communicate confidently and compassionately with veterinary professionals across different rolesExcellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficientlyStrong personal accountability, reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to following through on responsibilitiesProficiency with technology, iOS and EzyVet specifically
