What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Practice Provider - Dermatology position at Current Dermatology?
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with dermatology experience to work in our main office in the mountains of Western North Carolina, approximately 50 miles west of Asheville. Our well-established practice is filling a vital need for dermatologic care in the area, while practicing a philosophy governed by determining what is best for the patient.
We are a privately owned solo practice looking for a hard-working individual who will see 30-35 patients daily. The practice uses two medical assistants as scribes per each APP. We offer a full range of benefits to include health, dental, vision, 401k plan and generous paid time off. CME stipend is $2500 annually. EMA/Modernizing Medicine software experience is a plus.
Competitive pay package dependent on experience of the candidate and has both base and production bonus components. APP will work under supervision of the Physician Practice Owner.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Utilize EHR systems to document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
- Engage in patient education and health coaching to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Assist in dermatological procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license
- Proficiency in EHR systems
- Strong patient care and assessment skills
- Experience in dermatology and nursing
- Knowledge of basic life support and IV insertion techniques
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including those with developmental disabilities
