Consumer PR Intern (Fall 2023)

POSITION PROFILE
This paid internship honors one of our leaders from the New York office, Jonathan Kreissman, who was passionate and extremely supportive of our commitments to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture at Current Global. Jonathan was a champion for the LGBTQIA community and had a passion for ensuring the advancement of these community members in the communications and public relations industries.
We were heartbroken to lose Jonathan in February 2021 and feel his absence daily. Full of life, he was regarded as an enthusiastic leader and mentor who was generous with his time in helping others succeed, committed to exceptional client service and passionate about making the world a better place. For this internship opportunity, we are looking for someone who embodies these positive and spirited characteristics and has the joie de vivre that Jonathan brought to work every day.
An enthusiastic, self-starter who can multi-task effectively and is highly organized, this role is hands-on and affords a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of PR. As an integral part of the team, core responsibilities of this role include writing, researching, event planning, compiling media lists, pitching client stories to media and participating in creative brainstorms. This person must possess a high level of flexibility, technical capacity and time management skills. Additionally, it is imperative that this person demonstrate a proactive approach and personal effectiveness, the ability to collaborate and to keep composure under pressure.
This exciting opportunity is available for recent college graduates of any degree who are available to work Monday through Friday from 9am until 6pm. The internship is paid and three (3) to six (6) months in duration.
