Job Description
The Sales Support Professional’s primarily role is to support agents, distributors and managing open projects. The successful candidate will have the skills needed to facilitate the coordination between Sales, Supply Chain, Pricing, Brand Management, and the Finance teams. The position objective is to assure measurable results in achieving an exceptional end customer experience, for current accounts, and facilitate on-time shipments, invoicing and National, Strategic and Key Account business. Touch points include, but are not limited to some pricing, specification reviews, customer service order management, pre-sale forecasting, inventory management, post-sale issue resolution.
Qualifications
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop direct customer relationships and act as the primary customer resource.
- Work closely with our National, Key and Strategic Account customers to quickly solve problems and provide requested data.
- Establish and facilitate process improvements to gain efficiencies to increase customer satisfaction.
- Manage National, Key and Strategic account customer quotation requests.
- Work cross functionally to develop and execute plans to address customer-specific needs.
- Foster relationships with key internal stakeholders to support the resolution of our customer’s needs
- Drive process to accurately and consistently forecast through effective use of Salesforce
- Managing logistics activities with carriers to coordinate material delivery and reassignments, verify adherence to shipping instructions, filing claims, and sending tracking information to the customer and/or contractor.
- Interface with internal and external customers, including Agents, Distributors, Architects, Rebate Providers, and Installation Contractors.
- Collaboration across internal cross functional teams as well as our National, Key and Strategic Account partners.
- Requesting, evaluating and approving contractor labor invoices.
- Managing additional material requests, change orders, RMAs, and warranty claims.
- Utilizing open order reports to clarify priorities and optimize adherence to customer commitments
- Understanding of Current Lighting product offering, application, and market strategy. Must be able to support the evaluation of the best product solution for the opportunity.
Qualification Requirements
- 4-year degree or substantial equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of direct customer support – project management a plus
- Demonstrated relationship building and customer management skills
- Highly motivated individual with proven track record
- A proven resourceful and creative decision-maker, with a sound analytical judgment
- Driven to produce measurable results and continuous improvement
- Ability to quickly understand, retain and articulate product knowledge and applications
Desired Characteristics
- Detail-oriented with strong process, organizational and oral/written communication skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including virtual and electronic communications
- Prior experience and/or willingness to work virtually with team members that are not co-located
- Sound knowledge of the company’s products and services.
- Experience with data analysis and spreadsheet tools
- Understanding of basic contractual terms and conditions
- Familiarity with SAP, QuickBase, Power BI, and Salesforce
Compensation
The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is $61,000-$70,000.
