Job Description
The principle tasks of the Assembly Tester/Packer are as follows:
- Adjust test equipment to meet Engineering specifications on lighting products and performs pretest procedure.
- Performs wiring and test procedures to insure product meets quality specifications and informs set-up or department supervisor of any deviations in material or equipment.
- Inspects and attaches proper labels and stamps personal I.D. to data marker.
- Performs housekeeping duties as required or assigned.
- Must adhere to all departmental and plant safety rules.
- Performs rework as required or assigned.
- Assist other operations on line when need occurs and does some assembly operation at test position.
- Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, specification book, engineering prints, operation sheets, and bills of materials.
- Assembles cartons/inserts from flat stock, packs finished units (frequently up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 30 lbs.), seals cartons, applies labels and places on skids.
