This brought together two iconic businesses with deep innovation heritage, strong brands and application expertise and allows Current to be strategically positioned to now focus all investments into lighting and controls solutions. We have an enhanced distribution footprint and digital tools to service customer needs more easily, quickly and efficiently, and strong new product pipelines and shared patented technologies to deliver added value to customers. Primary office locations are Cleveland, OH and Greenville, SC, with centers of expertise locations in Austin, TX, and Quebec, Canada. Manufacturing operations reside in Hendersonville, NC, Plympton, MA, Christiansburg, VA, Acuna, MX and Tijuana, MX.
We are a dynamic manufacturing facility committed to operational excellence and fostering a workplace culture of collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement. We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team and drive key HR functions, with a primary focus on recruiting, onboarding, and compliance with I-9 documentation requirements. This position is required on-site 5 days/week.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for hourly and salaried roles
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and create compelling job descriptions and postings
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, and facilitating selection decisions
- Build relationships with local schools, workforce development agencies, and community organizations to establish a talent pipeline
Onboarding
- Oversee a seamless and welcoming onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are fully integrated into the company culture
- Conduct orientation sessions to communicate company policies, benefits, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with department managers to coordinate training schedules and ensure readiness for production floor roles
Compliance & I-9 Documentation
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of Form I-9 for all new hires, maintaining strict compliance with federal regulations
- Conduct regular audits of I-9 documentation and records to address errors and ensure readiness for external reviews
- Stay updated on changes to employment eligibility verification laws and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders
HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee data management and policy administration
- Serve as a resource for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR matters
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and providing guidance on conflict resolution
Reporting & Metrics
- Track and report recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates) and other HR KPIs to measure process efficiency and identify improvement areas
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, providing reports as needed for internal and external audits
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
- 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
